GaylordGuide.com's Foundation/ History
Well it all started shortly after I moved here from wisconsin to marry my wife and settle down. I didn't know the area at all. I couldn't tell what the Gaylord Michigan area was all about, the history, the recreational/entertainment available and where to find a decent coffee shop (I am a java junkie). Yeah sure, there are a few sites out here on the internet that cover some of the basic information, but not quite enough
How do I say it without making other Gaylord Michigan site owners upset? They all seemed to be lacking in what I was looking for... A local website with Personality and Heart. Not saying the other sites are bad, by no means they serve thier purpose promoting the companies that paid them, covering the news and promoting thier members.
What about the individuals and small businesses? Where is the good news kind of stuff that make small towns like Gaylord, Michigan a wonderful place to live. The entertainment, the fun, I couldn't find them ... not online atleast.
You see I am one of those kind of people who like knowing things... or where to get a whatcha ma'call-it for the doo hikkie that you only need if the zipperdooda breaks. I also take pride in being able to contribute to the comunity in which I live.
So, being a bit of an internet web geek I figured it would be a great idea to create a website for the Gaylord Michgan area with ALL of the businesses listed...
